A Message from the Owner of Events And Adventures

Hi!  I'm excited that you are thinking of joining Events And Adventures.  You are joining a club that is experiencing wonderful nation wide growth, as more and more singles realize we really are "The best Single way to have fun". 

People join Events and Adventures for many reasons (new to town?), but three of the most common are:

They are looking to get out of the house and have more fun.
They are looking for new friends.
They are hoping to find someone special to spend their life with.

Which is it for you?  When I started the club over 20 years ago the answer was "1 and 2.  Once I had those I suddenly found 3". 

I met my wonderful wife in the club, but along the way I went skydiving for the first time.  I climbed to the top of Mount St. Helens and shared Mikes Hard Lemonade with a group of members as we threw rocks off of the rim of the crater. I've frozen my butt off white water rafting the Chilliwack river in British Columbia (emphasis on "Chilli") - a 20 person hot tub never felt so good.

I've discovered that an Oktoberfest hayride with the right new friends can be as exhilarating as bungee jumping (but is much easier on your back).  I've enjoyed the crush of New Years Eve in Las Vegas,  the rush of the end of act one in Wicked, and spring training in Phoenix. 

But most of all I met 100's of amazing and wonderful people, many of whom became close personal friends.  And, Finally, I met the most wonderful woman in the world.  Not bad for an "activities club".

Matchmakers, video dating services, and mini-lunch blind daters are infamous for making grandiose promises about your impending marriage when they can't even provide you with a good date.  Its kind of embarrassing, really.  How can you NOT come off as desperate in an environment like that?

At Events and Adventures we have a different philosophy - Create a naturally fun environment, where you can relax and be yourself along with 20 or 30 other singles who also are there to have fun.  When you are relaxed, having fun, and NOT comparing marriage resumes, it is WAY easier to find someone worth dating.  Sounds counter intuitive, but its true.  And you get to have a great time in the process.

Most former dating service members who join E&A say they meet more new friends at their first event than they met in all the time they belonged to a dating service.  It just makes sense, doesn't it?  Use your Facebook to keep in touch with friends.  Use Events And Adventures to meet new ones.

Online personal ads can range from sadly funny to downright scary.  Stories we've heard range from the ridiculous to the, well, mostly just ridiculous. One of our staff members met a guy who wanted to impress his personals date, so he met her for dinner at a well - known gourmet restaurant; after finishing dinner she looked at her watch and told the chivalrous fellow she had to leave so she wouldn't be late to meet her boyfriend! Or the lady who discovered her personal ad date was actually someone she worked with (and would never date) who had given a phony name.  Then there are the really scary stories that make the news.

Events and Adventures is much safer way to meet new friends than the online alternatives, because we interview every member personally before they are allowed to begin attending events, and background checks when necessary.  that scrutiny scares away the worst elements. 

 Your safety  as a member is a key priority for us.
